This Privacy Policy explains how WaSarthi ("we", "us") collects, uses, shares and protects personal data when you visit wasarthi.com, book a demo, sign up, or use the WaSarthi platform. It is written to meet the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (India) and, for visitors in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, the GDPR and UK GDPR.

1. Who is responsible

WaSarthi, Cleza House, Tara Enclave, Samalkha, Haryana, India, is the Data Fiduciary (controller) for the personal data described here. You can reach us at support@wasarthi.com.

2. What we collect

• Details you give us — your name, business name, phone number, email, industry and message when you book a demo, sign up, message us on WhatsApp or contact us.
• Platform data — if your business uses WaSarthi, the account activity, message metadata and campaign performance needed to run the inbox, automation, AI agent, CRM and analytics.
• Website usage data — pages viewed, buttons clicked, the approximate location derived from your IP address, browser and device type, and cookie identifiers. Some of this is collected through the Meta Pixel described in section 4, only after you accept cookies.

3. Why we use it and on what basis

• To respond to you and provide the service — replying to demo requests, setting up and running your account. Basis: performance of a contract, or the steps you ask us to take before one.
• To keep the platform secure and improve it — basis: our legitimate interest in running a reliable service.
• To measure our website and show relevant advertising — through cookies and the Meta Pixel. Basis: your consent, given through the cookie notice on this website. You can decline, and you can withdraw consent at any time (section 7).
• To send product or marketing updates — only where you have opted in, and you can opt out from any message.

4. Cookies and the Meta Pixel

This website uses the Meta Pixel, a tool provided by Meta Platforms, Inc. (and Meta Platforms Ireland Limited for people in the EEA/UK). When you accept cookies, the Pixel sets cookies such as _fbp and _fbc and sends Meta information about your visit: the pages you view, actions such as booking a demo or clicking a WhatsApp button, your IP address, browser details and, if you are logged in to a Meta product, the fact that you visited. Meta uses this to measure our advertising, to show you WaSarthi ads on Facebook and Instagram, and for its own purposes described in the Meta Privacy Policy. We do not send Meta the contents of your messages or the details you type into our forms.

Nothing from the Pixel is collected until you choose Accept in the cookie notice. If you choose Decline, the Pixel does not load and only strictly necessary storage is used (for example, remembering your cookie choice and whether you have already seen a sign-up prompt).

You can also limit Meta's use of this data through Meta Ad Settings, by clearing or blocking cookies in your browser, or by using the opt-outs at aboutads.info and youronlinechoices.eu.

5. WhatsApp messaging data

Messages sent and received through WaSarthi are processed only to provide the platform's features (inbox, automation, AI agent, CRM, analytics) to the business you are messaging. That business is responsible for how it uses your conversation. We do not sell conversation data and do not use it for advertising.

6. Who we share data with

• Meta Platforms — as the provider of the WhatsApp Business Platform, and, with your consent, through the Meta Pixel as described above.
• Service providers — hosting, infrastructure, CRM and email providers who process data on our instructions and under contract.
• Authorities — where the law requires it.

We do not sell personal data. Some providers, including Meta, process data outside India; where that happens we rely on the safeguards permitted by the DPDP Act and, for EEA/UK data, on Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent mechanisms.

7. Your rights and choices

• Access the personal data we hold about you, and ask for it to be corrected, updated or erased.
• Withdraw consent to cookies and the Meta Pixel at any time: clear this site's data in your browser and the cookie notice will appear again, or write to us and we will reset your choice.
• Object to processing based on legitimate interest, and ask for your data in a portable format (EEA/UK).
• Nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf, as provided by the DPDP Act.
• Raise a grievance with our Grievance Officer at support@wasarthi.com. We respond within the time the law allows, and if you are not satisfied you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India or, in the EEA/UK, to your local supervisory authority.

8. How long we keep data

Demo and contact details are kept for as long as needed to respond to you and for up to 24 months afterwards unless you become a customer. Account data is kept for the life of the account and deleted or anonymised within 90 days of closure, except where the law requires longer. Meta Pixel cookies last up to 90 days from your last visit; Meta's own retention is described in its policy.

9. Security

We use access controls, authentication and encryption in transit to protect data on our platform. No method is perfectly secure, and we will notify you and the relevant authority of a personal data breach where the law requires it.

10. Children

WaSarthi is a business service and is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect their personal data.

11. Changes to this policy

We will post any changes on this page and update the date at the top. Where a change materially affects how we use your data, we will ask for consent again where the law requires it.
